Sammy Sugar Music Festival & Cycling Tour - Toronto to P.E.I May & June 2007
We are working together with Frog Barn Productions, a mobile music program which is instructed by professional Canadian recording artists. That being said it feels natural to team up with them in order to raise the funds needed to provide a music program to the children in Ecuador. Ellen Carol, the founder, is planning to cycle from Toronto Ontario to Charlottetown PEI with her dog in order to raise awareness and find sponsors for the cause. www.planeterra.org/streetKids.php
The Sammy Sugar Day festival is being held at the Tranzac Club (292 Brunswick Ave. Toronto, Ontario) on Saturday May 26, 2007. Frog Barn Productions will be hosting 14 musical groups on 3 stages with a variety of workshops and auctions happening throughout the day. Ellen Carol and her dog Sammy Sugar will be leaving Toronto Ontario powered by their own legs and spirit on June 29th 2007. Ellen will be cycling between 30 and 70km a day with Sammy splitting her time running beside the bike and being pulled in a bike trailer. Along the way, Frog Barn Productions and The Planeterra Foundation will be holding fundraising events sharing the stage with a variety of musical talent local and afar. Ellen and Sammy will be arriving in Charlottetown PEI on Aug. 11, 2007.
Their goal is to raise a minimum of $6000 USD to fund the music program at the Salesiano Street Children Project . www.planeterra.org/streetKids.php
