Despite the fact that Nepal is rich in fresh water, access to clean, safe drinking water is difficult especially in mountainous regions where communities are located on steep slopes and ridges. Women and children spend several hours each day walking to fetch water for their daily consumption. Our goal is to provide water to mountain communities in the Annapurna region of Nepal by purchasing water tanks and installing them at village schools along the Annapurna Circuit, a 300km trek in the Himalayas.

Planeterra Donation
Our goal is to raise $4,615 to cover the cost of installing water tanks in five village schools in the Annapurna region. These funds will cover the cost of materials, labour and transportation to the following schools:
Durga Mai Primary School – 50 students = $942
Saptha Kanya Primary School – 60 students = $911
Shreejana Primary School – 30 students = $928
Jana Jagrite Primary School - 60 students = $906
Janta Higher Secondary School – 100 students = $928
Your support can help us make this goal a reality.
