Global Travel and Tourism Summit: Tourism For Tomorrow Awards

Planeterra and Gap Adventures have been selected by the World Travel and Tourism Council as a finalist for the Tourism For Tomorrow Awards in the Global Tourism Business Category. As finalists, Planeterra and Gap Adventures were selected by an international team of independent judges for having successfully demonstrated sustainable tourism practices, including the protection of natural and cultural heritage, social and economic benefits to local people, and environmentally-friendly operations.
The awards, dubbed the Green Tourism Oscars, are run by a group of the 100 most powerful travel business leaders and recognize the most planet and people-friendly travel projects around the globe.
The Tourism for Tomorrow Awards were presented during the World Travel & Tourism Council's Global Travel and Tourism Summit in Brazil where Richard Edwards represented Planeterra as a finalist.
