G Adventures' Matt Kinch Parties Peru-style
After years of holding a Christmas in the Community party in
Toronto, Planeterra and G Adventures have branched out building happiness and community in new
places. Gap Adventures employees in Peru held the first ever Christmas
in the Community for children at a Public School in Lima. Peru office
staff and tour leaders came together for one day to give children ages
4 to 10 years old, something they don't often receive, a holiday party
complete with games, dancing, tasty treats, gifts and a special guest
appearance from Clifford the Big Red Dog!

Gap Adventures and partner companies worked together and provided every
child with a gift, some treats, and of course hot chocolate with
Paneton (Christmas Fruit Cake).
Families in this area of Peru can't often afford Christmas gifts or
special treats this time of year, and you could see the appreciation by
the look on every child's face. Teachers and children lined up at the
end of the day to thank everyone and even recite some of the songs they
learned in school.
It was a great day for everyone involved and is just the beginning of
G Adventures commitment to building happiness and community in the
areas we travel.
Take a look at some pics from the event!
