Program & Development Manager
I joined G Adventures’ sales and reservations team in 2005 and a year later moved to Planeterra, where I am currently responsible for managing donor relationships and day-to-day operations, developing Community Projects in Africa and Asia, and overseeing Gap Adventures' sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
My interest in community development and international relations sparked at an early age, and led me to earn a degree in International Development and History. Since then I have spent years traveling the globe studying the impact of tourism on community development in Cuba, Malawi and the West Indies. After working in the scuba diving industry, guiding divers on the Great Barrier Reef and seeing the challenges this area faces from human impacts on the environment, I reconnected with a desire to support community development through our work at Planeterra. With a passion for adventure, environmental conservation and responsible travel, nothing is more rewarding than being part of an organization committed to helping travelers give back to the people and places they visit!
