Day 1

 Arrive Zanzibar/Stone Town
Arrive in Zanzibar at any time.

Day 2

 Jambiani
Morning meeting with our African Impact project managers, followed by a drive to Jambiani to
begin our work with local community projects.  Here in Jambiani you will not only witness incredible sunrises and enjoy the warm waters, but more importantly gain a deep insight into life on the island. After your days work, relax on the white-sand beaches and cool off in the warm tropical waters of Jambiani.

Day 3-6

Volunteer with Community Projects in Jambiani
While in Zanzibar we volunteer at four programs near the village of Jambiani. Our days will be spent assisting teachers and students in local schools, participating in marine and beach conservation projects, and organizing sports activities for children and youth from the community. Please note that due to the short time volunteering, much of your time will be in an assisting role than a full-time one.

Day 7

 Arusha
Return to Stone Town and fly to Arusha. Arusha, Tanzania’s “safari capital,” is the most important centre in northern Tanzania. A modern town with markets and services, as well as many national parks, reserves, and mountains nearby (on a clear day you can see Mt. Kilimanjaro in the distance), Arusha is a great base for your safari trip.

Day 8

 Lake Manyara
Head west to Lake Manyara, and spend the afternoon touring and viewing wildlife in Lake Manyara National Park.

This area is truly stunning, as the western wall of the Rift Valley escarpment provides a backdrop for your search
of the park's phenomenal bird-life, hippos, and even tree-climbing lions.

Day 9-10

 Serengeti National Park
Journey to the Serengeti via the archaeological site of Olduvai Gorge, the “Cradle of Mankind.”

Cruise through the acacia-spotted Savannah of the Serengeti plains, surrounded bywildlife; the "Big 5" constantly roam
this vast expanse of grassland.

Day 11

 Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Enjoy a final morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, continuing on to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

The view from your lodge at the crater's rim is stunning, and the bird-life is ever-present in the surrounding forests.

Day 12

 Ngorongoro Crater/Arusha
Venture down to the crater floor for your final safari experience: there is an incredible concentration of wildlife bound
by the crater walls, including zebra, gazelle, impala, and cheetah.

Day 13

 Depart Arusha
